Creatives who have spent hours perfecting their emails to ECDs and CCOs will watch these funny films with a pang of recognition -- and maybe guilt.
It promotes the ADC's upcoming Portfolio Night to young creatives, by persuading them to show off their best work -- rather than their "best email" -- to the people who matter. All of the ads are written as screenshots of emails from junior creatives to agency leaders such as Matt Eastwood, CCO of JWT, Adam Kerj, CCO of JWT N.Y., Laura Fegley, ECD of BBH, Natalie Lam, ECD at Razorfish and James Casey, CD/Editor of Swallow magazine. All are guilty of appallingly recongizable email sins -- such as sounding boring, desperate or stalkerish; cutting and pasting and sending with the wrong name; and ridiculous formatting.
The films (of which there are 27 in total) end with lines such as "F*** your best email. Bring your best work,"and "Don't f*** it up. Bring your best work."
