Spot from Muhtayzik Hoffer Highlights Allroad Driving in Unexpected Setting

Sunday drives just got a lot less leisurely -- and whole lot messier --- in a new action-packed ad for Audi, created out of Muhtayzik Hoffer.

Running online and in social, the film depicts a couple living in a perfectly manicured town getting ready to enjoy their weekend routine. But instead of donning their church best, they're zipping up race suits, throwing on helmets and tearing up dirt roads in their Audi Quattro.

Directed by Noah Marshall via The Sweet Shop, the spot was shot entirely in-camera with stunt drivers, making for a truly dirty production. It all ends well however, as the driving couple, and it seems a host of other Audi owners, end their day with their weekly stop at the car wash.

The story extends on social media with Snapchat content that delves further into the spot's stunts, as well an "Excessive Camera" edit that makes fun of the "generous" use of GoPro cameras in other sheet metal videos, such as Ken Block's "Gymkhana" series.

The spot dovetails with Audi's recent Emmy's ad featuring the R8 and created out of Venables Bell. It depicted a couple who lives in an remote Death Valley locale --- seemingly just because they need an excuse to drive their cars across long, dusty terrain.
