The BBC is bringing the archives of iconic broadcaster and natural history presenter Sir David Attenborough to life with a new free app featuring more than a thousand of the most memorable moments filmed during his career.

Developed by AKQA and launching tomorrow (Nov.17) the Story of Life app is a collection of materials that can be searched by "habitat," "species" and "behaviour," allowing users to find out more about their favourite creatures, watch scenes from different series, or explore the landscapes of the planet. There are also a series of exclusive films hidden throughout the app.

The app was created to mark Sir David Attenborough's 90th birthday this year, and as well as featuring his iconic past series such as "Life on Earth" and "Life in the Freezer," there is also a selection of moments from his latest series, "Planet Earth II," which is currently airing on the BBC.
