Editor's Pick

Betting brand Bwin asks the audience to bet on which of four soccer legends--including Diego Maradona --stole the World Cup, in a fun heist-style film ahead of the tournament.

The second bettable campaign from the brand, which last summer asked viewers to bet on the outcome of a Hollywood-style car race, stars not only Argentina's Maradona but Brazil's Cafu, Spain's Vicente del Bosque and Germany's Stefan Effenberg and takes place in a glitzy hotel in Moscow at the opening of the World Cup where the trophy has suddenly gone missing.

As time then rewinds, we see all four soccer legends secretly working on their own plots to steal the cup. The question is, which did it? The ad ends with an invitation to viewers to go to bwin's website and bet on the culprit. The "reveal" film will be aired in early June.

Pedro Martin-Calero of Blink directs the TV spot, in cinematic, crime-caper style, for BBH London, with post by MPC. The campaign will run in Germany, Austria, Greece, Spain, Italy, France, the U.K, Belgium, Denmark and Sweden. Content also includes behind-the-scenes interviews with the soccer stars, and the wider campaign includes OOH and online work.
