Rising indie music star Clairo, aka Claire Cottrill, who has won the hearts of the YouTube crowd with her dreamy, synthy teenage girl pop, just dropped a new music video for her track, "Flaming Hot Cheetos," and it happens to star a bunch of giant Flaming Hot Cheetos.

Directed by Matt Dillon Cohen, the music video comes out nine months after she posted her tune on Soundcloud and on YouTube with just a grainy image of herself with a bag of the snack--which has already racked up more than 2.2 million views and inspired comments like "Who would have thought a song with cheetos in its title could be so sad and addictive" and "WHAT THE FUCK DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH THE FRITO LAY SPICEY SNACK KNOWN AS HOT CHEETOS!?!?!?

That's because the song, outside of its title, makes no mention of the snack, so perhaps some of those fans will be satisfied by the new clip, which depicts dancers robed in snack bags--with product name tweaked to reflect the artist ("Clairitos") and in chili-red cheese costumes twirling around Clairo as she dances lithely on the sunny streets of California.

According to Pepsico Frito-Lay, the company wasn't involved in the production of the music video in any way. The spicy version of the snack seems to be having a pop culture moment. Variety reported last month the Fox Searchlight is in production on a film based on the snack and its creator, Ricardo Montanez, who had once been a janitor at a Frito-Lay plant in Rancho Cucamonga, California when he had come up with the idea.
