Geico's latest TV spot in its ongoing "It's Not Surprising" campaign features a classic robbery getaway scene, but with a very 2017 twist.
As the robbers exit a museum carrying valuable exhibits, their getaway car is nowhere to be seen. That's because the youngest of the crew, a laid-back millennial, has ordered it via a phone app, and it's four minutes away. He even finds time to muse on the driver's four star rating and his name being "Randy."
Ordering a getaway car with an app, is the "surpising" element, with what's "not suprising" being how much money you save by switching to Geico.
Another new ad from Geico and The Martin Agency this week promotes its Emergency Roadside Service. In it, a woman uses her phone to organize a dead battery to be dealt with -- all without saying a word to her husband.
Meanwhile, the insurance company has launched its latest set of pre-roll ads, featuirng scenarios that are literally "crushed" for convenience.
