Honda recently unveiled in Tokyo the U3-X, a new unicycle-like personal mobility device small enough to ride around inside a home or office. Riders can steer, control speed and stop the vehicle just by shifting their body weight . The device stands at 65 cm tall and, unlike wheelchairs, allows riders to remain at around eye-level with their walking peers.

Honda will be showcasing the U3-X at the 41st Tokyo Motor Show 2009 starting on October 24, 2009 in Chiba, Japan. The vehicle is currently in the prototype stage, but Honda will be continuing R&D to ensure its practicality in real-life situations.
