The eyes of the entire planet are on the scoreboard during each of the games at the World Cup. And it's not just fans rooting for the home team. Sports commentators may not have a favorite team on the field, but they're paying attention to better prognosticate. Bookmakers have a horse in every race. And residents of Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates have a chance to win a car if the scoreboard lands on the right numbers.
Infiniti Middle East is giving away two Infiniti Q50 luxury sedans any time a World Cup game ends with a score of … 5-0. It's unlikely, but certainly not impossible. As the campaign from TBWA/RAAD notes, two of the games in the 1998 World Cup ended 5-0, and there have been even more lopsided (and less likely) results before. Remember Brazil's brutal 7-1 loss four years ago?
A short film explaining the contest is running on social media, as are promotional gifs. "In football, nothing is impossible," goes the campaign's tagline, and it's already proven true. The very first game in Russia ended with the home team beating Saudi Arabia 5-0. That means two lucky winners will be getting their notifications in the next day or so on Infiniti's Facebook page. They'll get their cars delivered to them in two to four weeks. Everyone else will need to enter for each match remaining in the tournament.
