In Sweden, for the first time ever McDonald's is now allowing consumers to book tables at its restaurants -- and be waited on -- in a campaign to introduce its new Maestro Classic burger.
The fast feeder has partnered with online restaurant reservation service Bookatable to allow customers to start reserving tables from today, for dates from September 25 through October 2 at more than 30 McDonald's restaurants around the country.
During their visit, patrons will dine on a two-course meal consisting of the new gourmet burger as main entree and dessert -- the diner's choice of McFlurry, ice cream or pie, along with coffee or tea.
"We have a very exciting and tasty new premium hamburger coming to our restaurants, the Maestro Classic, so we wanted to give our most loyal customers a unique and memorable experience when they try the Maestro hamburger for the very first time," said McDonald's Sweden Director of Marketing Jeff Jackett in a statment. "They've never had the opportunity to 'book a table' at their favourite restaurant in Sweden. With the new Maestro burger, we thought it was the right time to give them a chance to do so."
