Nike Japan and AKQA are promoting the brand's new Lunarlon and Flyknit sneaker technologies with a scavenger hunt for specially designed artworks/prizes on the streets of Tokyo. The Innovation Hunt has planted items including a Flyknit-upholstered bike and Bearbrick character, as well as a Lunarlon skateboard, dumbbell set and traffic cone. Nike gives out clues on its website and players use Nike+ to find the items; the website has a leaderboard showing how everyone is doing.

In order to participate, players collect a map at Nike's Ugokidase Station in the Harajuku district of Tokyo. Using Nike+ they search for the items. Once they find them, they have to take a pic and Tweet with the #Ugokidase hashtag and then make their way back to Ugokidase.

The initiative is running until this weekend in conjunction with an exhibition at Ugokidase, which showcases the latest Nike+ technology. The clues are planted across the Harajuku district and the contest runs through August 11.
