Beyonce's track "Freedom" is the anthem to a new from Project Everyone on behalf of the UN's Global Goals for Sustainable Development, set to celebrate the International Day of the Girl.

The video, which features a cast of awesome, fierce young girls from locations ranging from Washington DC to Tanzania, was directed by MJ Delaney, who helmed last year's film set to the Spice Girls' "Wannabe." That video featured young women dancing and celebrating female empowerment, but this time around, the focus is on childhood: the film highlights issues such as child marriage, violence against young girls and lack of access to education.

Delaney says in a statement: "Last year's film, which focused on women, was joyful, playful and optimistic. The global political landscape has changed dramatically in the last year--a warm celebration of female solidarity is no longer enough. This year's film is defiant and demands change, with much younger girls giving a voice to a whole generation of little girls for whom it's imperative that the Global Goals are met by 2030. Last year we marked the twentieth anniversary of Girl Power. This year we're celebrating a new and different generation of powerful girls, using the protest anthem of the moment, Beyonce's Freedom--because what we need now is action."

As well as launching on the Google Homepage the film will be shown at events around the world including in New York and Paris.
