Earlier this year, Reebok delivered bacon to crossfit athletes, and now the sports brand is focusing on its core product and sending out shoes, via its new "Human Dispatch Service." The initiative, created out of Venables Bell & Partners, San Francisco, aims to promote the brand's ZJet shoes and launches tomorrow in New York.
To participate, athletes who want to test out the new kicks must tweet their size and address with the hashtag #ReebokHDS. A team of runners will then deliver as many pairs as possible to interseted parties.
"We want to deliver our latest product innovation to consumers directly to their door, in real time and what better way to do that than to actually run them over to each person?" said VP-Global Brand Communications at Reebok Yan Martin in a statement. "The Human Dispatch Service also brings the ZJet concept to life perfectly -- the ZJet propels the runner forward with the power of air, and that's exactly what the HDS is -- a human-powered delivery service that runs on air."
