Dog walkers resemble their 'clients' in cute spot for Rover.com

Brand is also running outdoor campaign in NYC

We all know the old saying about dogs looking like their owners. So it follows that if you use a dog-walking service, you need a walker to match.

That's the premise behind a cute new spot for Rover.com, part of a campaign for the dog-walking service by Pereira & O'Dell. It features six dog walkers who perfectly resemble the pooches they're with, strutting out to tune of DJ Unk's "Walk It Out."

The campaign began airing this week across national TV, online ads and social channels. Additionally, Rover.com has taken over the Columbus Circle station in New York City with backlit posters, billboards and turnstile placements.

Rover.com's network now includes more than 200,000 sitters (93% more than 2016) and 139,000 dog walkers who book services every four seconds.

The dog walking business is a one billion dollar industry, according to a U.S. report last year which showed it grew over the five years to 2017, thanks to higher pet ownership and increased pet spending.
