Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is back for a third year as State Farm's "Discount Double Check" guy, but the insurance company is also enlisting a pair of arguably even more famous "athletes" -- Hans and Franz from "Saturday Night Live" -- for its new campaign.
Directed by Hungry Man's Frank Perlman, the 60-second spot via DDB Chicago premieres on broadcast during tonight's Green Bay game against the Seattle Seahawks. Mr. Rodgers hits the gym -- and the desert -- to get "pumped up" with Kevin Nealon and Dana Carvey's classic comedic duo.
Part of a four-part integrated campaign, this spot follows fellow "SNL" alum Rob Schneider's Richmeister revival late last month. The "SNL" darlings' (and their alter egos') return coincides with the eve of show's 40th anniversary.
