Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer has worked with AKQA on its new next generation smartwatch, creating a modular design that can be customized with over 4,000 different watch faces, including adding your own personal photos.

The TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 was designed in collaboration with Intel and Google. It comes with a companion app, created by AKQA, that lets you customize each element, from the dials through to the finishes and level of luminescence. Each component is designed to be interchangeable, providing over 4,000 variants of watch faces to choose from. Wearers can also set their own wallpaper -- for example, by adding their own photo to the dial.

The watch is integrated with Android Wear 2.0 so that users can access Android Wear apps via their wrist. The app also features a hardware configurator highlighting a range of interchangeable modules, straps and lugs to complete the look of the watch.

Ajaz Ahmed, CEO of AKQA, said in a statement: "The TAG Heuer Connected represents a decisive advancement in personal expression through the synthesis of technology and creativity."
