Volkswagen gave moviegoers in Hong Kong a shock with a stunt that involved their own mobiles. The brand ran a PSA which showed a car driving fast along a road. Suddenly, everyone in the audience gets a text on their mobile (the clip says this was done using a "location-based broadcaster, but we're unsure whether the moviegoers also gave their permission for their mobile numbers to be collected). As they all look down at their phones, the on-screen car crashes dramatically. The campaign was developed by Ogilvy & Mather Beijing.
